Private Social Club · Jessup, Maryland
A private social club
for people whose cars
are the point.
Know what your collection is worth. See what's coming to market before the public does. And four times a year, actually drive the things.
17 founding seats remaining at $2,100 a year
Most car clubs are organized around the people. Drive Theory is organized around the cars. That sounds like a small difference. It isn't. It means that on a Tuesday night, with nothing on the calendar, you can log in and learn something about your own collection you couldn't get anywhere else.
What You Get
One membership. Five things.
No tiers to decode and no upsell path. Everything below is included from the day you join.
- 01
The Private Community
Invite only, and small on purpose. Members and storage clients, real names, real garages. Every profile lists what the member actually owns, so you know who's in the room before you walk into it.
- Member directory with every garage listed
- A private board for member to member buying and selling
- Build and technical talk with people who have done it
- Nothing public, nothing indexed, no strangers
- 02
Your Garage, Valued
Every car you own gets a live page. Not a national index telling you the category moved 3%. Your specific car, your spec, your mileage, with the comps sitting right underneath so you can argue with the number.
- Current value as a range, with the sales behind it
- What moved this month and which three cars caused it
- Recall data and VIN decode on every car
- A service binder that becomes your listing packet later
- 03
The Hunt
Our own market intelligence platform, built on years of auction data. Tell it what you're looking for and it works while you sleep. This is the part nobody else within a hundred miles can offer you.
- Unlimited saved hunts and want lists
- Alerts the moment a match lands or a watched car hits your number
- Cars that failed to meet reserve, which is where the motivated sellers are
- Off market cars and new car allocations before they go anywhere public
- 04
Four Rallies a Year
One a season, included, no ticket. All four are drives, because that's the thing every member actually has in common. Different direction, different season, different reason to go each time.
- An easy drive at the end of winter to start the season
- The spring rally west, over the line into West Virginia
- A summer morning out toward Annapolis and the bay
- A fall finale close to home that ends in dinner and awards
- Plus cars and coffee, member drives and track days as they come up
- 05
Member Pricing on Everything We Carry
A standing 25% off the store, every day, no code to remember. Drops open to members three days before anyone else sees them, and you get a piece in your welcome kit the week you join.
- 25% off all apparel, accessories and car care
- 72 hour early access to every drop
- Limited rally and winter pieces members can buy first
- A welcome kit and numbered member card on day one
The Hunt
The part nobody else
around here has.
We've spent years building our own collector car market platform. Tens of thousands of auction results, the cars that quietly failed to sell, the allocations that never get advertised, and a matching engine that runs against all of it while you're asleep.
Every member gets full access. Your garage on one side, telling you what you own and what it's worth. Your want list on the other, telling you when the right one surfaces.
Request an Invitation-
We know what your car is worth this week
And we'll show you the comps we got it from. A club can't do this. It takes a data operation, and ours has been running for years.
-
Your car sleeps here
We're not a club that meets somewhere. We're a climate controlled building in Jessup with your collection inside it and someone who answers the phone.
-
You see it seven days before the market does
Off market cars, consignments and member listings sit on the member board for a week before they go public. That requires real deal flow, which requires a real business.
-
We'll find it, or we'll sell it
Not a classifieds board. An actual broker with dealer relationships, allocation access and a book of what every member is looking for.
The Calendar
Four rallies a year, all included.
One a season, and every one of them is a drive. No tickets, no per event fee. We keep the number low because four we obsess over beat twelve we phone in.
- Q1 End of winter
The Cold Start
The first drive of the year, and an easy one on purpose. Coffee at the facility before it's light, a morning on quiet roads while everything's still empty, and a long breakfast at the far end. Nobody's car is really ready this early in the year. That's half the fun.
- Q2 Spring
The Spring Rally
The flagship, and the one that gets out of the state. West toward the mountains and over the line into West Virginia, with a driver's meeting first and lunch somewhere worth the detour. Rally plates on every car, capped so it stays a group and not a parade.
- Q3 Summer
The Bay Run
Summer, so we start early and stay near the water. Out toward Annapolis and the bay on the roads the traffic never finds, lunch somewhere you can see the boats from, and back before the afternoon gets unpleasant.
- Q4 Fall
The Homecoming
The season finale, and close to home on purpose. A loop through the backroads north of the city while the color holds, then back to the facility for a seated dinner with the cars still in the room. Car of the Year voted by members, plus awards for the best build and the best find of the season.
Routes and dates go out to members a few weeks ahead, so we can follow the weather and the roads rather than a plan we made in January. Cars and coffee, member drives, track days and the odd night at the facility happen on top of these, announced as they come up.
Where We Fit
Not the same thing as a car club.
There are national clubs that will fly you to a dinner, and there are marque clubs that will meet you in a parking lot. Both are good at what they do. Neither does anything about the car itself.
| Comparison | National exotic clubs | Marque clubs | Drive Theory |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is built around | The people and the lifestyle | One badge on the hood | The cars you actually own |
| Cars accepted | Modern exotics only. Muscle and most classics excluded. | That marque, nothing else | Any collector car, any era, any country |
| Knows what your car is worth | No | No | Yes, weekly, with the comps |
| Can find you the next one | No | No | Yes |
| Can sell the one you have | A classifieds board | No | Off market to members first |
| Somewhere to keep the car | No | No | 5,000 sq ft in Jessup |
| Events | Extra fee, every time | Volunteer run | Four a year, included |

Questions
Before you ask.
Do I have to store a car here to join?
No. Storage and membership are separate. Plenty of members keep their cars at home and join for the community, the valuations and the events.
What kind of car do I need?
Something you care about. Air cooled 911s, JDM icons, American muscle, vintage, modern exotics, a project you've spent four years on. We don't keep an approved list, because the lists other clubs keep are how they end up excluding the most interesting cars in the region.
What if I'm already a storage client?
Then you get member pricing on your storage and you should talk to us before the founding seats are gone. Next time you're in for a car, say so and we'll pull your whole collection up on the platform.
Is there really a limit on founding members?
Yes. 25 seats at $2,100 a year, locked for as long as you stay a member. After that it's $2,700. We'd rather grow slowly and keep the room worth being in.
Can I bring my family?
Yes. Membership covers your household, and the events are built so a spouse or a kid has a good time too. That is not an afterthought.
How do I actually join?
Fill in the form below and tell us what you own. We'll review it and come back to you with your cars valued on the platform. If it's a fit, we'll invite you out and take you through the rest in person.
Request an Invitation
It starts with an application.
Membership is by application, not by walk in. Tell us what you own and we'll come back with your own cars valued on the platform, so you can judge the thing rather than take our word for it. If it's a fit, we'll invite you out to the building.
The best cars are sold before they're ever listed.
Membership is how you hear about them first.
